At Transforming Pastoralist Women Initiative (TPWI)\, our events bring people together to learn\, dialogue\, and take action. Each event is a step toward empowering women and girls\, strengthening families\, and building resilient communities. \n\nMission and Vision\nOur mission is simple yet powerful: to empower women and girls in pastoralist communities through education\, mentorship\, health\, and climate resilience.Through events—ranging from mentorship forums to climate awareness campaigns—we create safe spaces where ideas are shared\, voices are amplified\, and communities unite around common goals. Our vision is to see a generation of pastoralist women and girls thriving with dignity\, opportunity\, and equal access to resources. \n\nA Journey of Impact\nSince 2018\, TPWI has organized impactful events across Kajiado County and beyond: \n\n\nMentorship Forums that have inspired hundreds of girls to stay in school and dream big. \n\n\nCommunity Dialogues challenging harmful cultural practices while promoting gender equality. \n\n\nPolicy Engagement Events where women and youth voices influence county-level decisions. \n\n\nClimate Action Campaigns mobilizing families to adopt sustainable practices for a greener future. \n\n\nEach event\, big or small\, is part of a greater journey—one that transforms individuals and uplifts entire communities. \n\nCommunity Challenges Addressed\nThrough our events\, TPWI directly tackles pressing challenges such as: \n\n\nLimited Access to Education — keeping girls in school despite cultural and economic barriers. \n\n\nGender Inequality — breaking down discriminatory practices through dialogue and awareness. \n\n\nClimate Change — preparing communities to adapt and build resilience. \n\n\nHealth Awareness — empowering women and girls with vital knowledge on maternal and reproductive health. \n\n\n\n✨ With every mentorship talk\, advocacy dialogue\, and outreach campaign\, TPWI events continue to light the path toward equality\, resilience\, and transformation.
